2010 Girls Tri Too Triathlon Series:

  •  The Girls Tri Too Series is a new series for women only that feature a 250 yard swim, followed by a 7 mile bike and finishing with a 2 mile run.
  • This race is the perfect first timer event for those wanting to get their feet wet in the sport of triathlon in a very non-competitive environment.
  • The series will stop at six venues across the state of Ohio

 

The ladies have spoken! Finally a series just for YOU.  The Girls Tri Too Series is a new series for women only that feature a 250 yard swim, followed by a 7 mile bike and finishing with a 2 mile run. This race is the perfect first timer event for those wanting to get their feet wet in the sport of triathlon in a very non-competitive environment. The series is being supported by women specific sponsors and will benefit a women specific charity to be announced soon.

The series will stop at six beautiful venues across Ohio  (do I hear road trip anyone?) and have features that are beginner friendly such as dual time trial starts and swim courses that are point-to-point along the beach. The series culminates at Portage Lakes State Park with one big party on September 18.

Women Only Course Preview

Friday, June 18 from 5:30pm to 6:30pm at the park.  This will be a walk through of the swim, bike and run courses and transition area.  No workout equipment is needed.

The top three overall ladies will receive special awards. In addition, the top three in all age groups (15-19, 20-24...75+), Athena, Mountain Bike, and all relay teams divisions will receive awards.
